Dry Running Tri-Lobe Air Positive Displacement Blower

NX Series: High-Performance Positive Displacement Blower

this range of  Positive Displacement Blower offers high performance and reliability for gas or air applications. Choose the perfect blower from a wide range of products.

After many years of building rotary lobe blowers, we've created a new design for bare shaft machines. This design offers:

  • better assembly,

  • long-term reliability,

  • cost-effectiveness,

  • and can easily replace our previous range of blowers (SNH – SNV blowers).

What are the main advantages of NX positive displacement blower between other technologies?

  • Constant Volume Output: They give a steady airflow even when pressure changes, which is good for consistent tasks.

  • Adaptable: They work well in both low-pressure situations and vacuum, so they fit many applications.

  • Energy Efficiency: They are often more energy-efficient than other technologies, especially in applications where a constant volume of air or gas is required without the need for frequent adjustments.

  • Low Maintenance: Positive displacement blower typically has fewer moving parts, leading to lower maintenance requirements and longer service life compared to some other compressor types.

  • Accept Dirty Environments: Many industries use them in dusty or dirty environments without compromising performance.

Type of technology for this positive displacement blower: "roots" type

  • Rotors: One-piece three-lobe rotors
  • Gears: Helical gears located on the opposite drive side
  • High quality mechanical rotary pistons and volumetric efficiency
  • Bearings: Four oversized bearings for lifetime reliability
  • Oil reservoir: Large oil reservoir for improved bearing lubrication
  • Oil thrower: Oil thrower and oil passages for good bearing lubrication and long life
  • Seals: Four piston ring seals plus a shoulder by sealing for totally oil free operation
  • Shaft seals: Dynamic shaft seals arrangement
  • Auto-adjustments of the lateral clearance to improve efficiency in the manufacturing
  • Lifetime reliability
  • 100% oil free process
  • Blower without maintenance for 40,000 hours (except oil each year or every two years if you use HIBON LUBE)
  • Exchangeable with the previous range
  • Lifting lugs

Range of Applications:

What is this positive Displacement blower used for?

Positive Displacment blower generates a high volume of air or gas flow, making them well-known in the industry. NX series PD blowers can also operate in a vacuum, creating a low-pressure environment.

  • Pneumatic conveying

  • Aeration (WasteWater Treatment)

  • Fluidisation

  • Conveying plastic pellets

  • Filter cleaning

How does NX series Positive Displacment Blower work?

NX series positive displacement (PD) blower operates by trapping a specific volume of air or gas in a chamber and then displacing it out through an outlet. Here's a simplified explanation of how it works:

  • Intake Phase: The blower's rotating lobes (rotors) create expanding chambers that draw in air or gas from the surroundings.

  • Discharge Phase: As the lobes or rotors continue to rotate, the trapped air or gas is displaced from the chamber and forced out through an outlet, without undergoing compression within the blower itself.

  • Continuous Cycle: This process repeats continuously as the lobes or rotors rotate, generating a steady volume of air or gas flow.

In summary, NX series positive displacement blower works by trapping and displacing a fixed volume of air or gas per rotation cycle, without internally compressing it.

  • Flow: From 100 m3/h to 13,000 m3/h
  • Pressure up to 1 bar eff.
  • Vacuum up to 500 mbar
