Tailored to Your Requirements
Our range of hydrogen blowers caters to various flow rates, ranging from 350Nm3/h to around 8000Nm3/h for hydrogen applications.
The differential pressure can reach up to 350mbarG, while the effective vacuum can go as low as -250 mbarG, depending on the specific inlet data at the blower's suction side.
As you can see, your Hibon solution can be custom designed to suit your needs.
Benefits
When you choose Hibon Hydrogen Blower Solutions, you can expect numerous benefits, including:
-
- Self-lubricated single mechanical seal on the shaft.
- High mechanical and volumetric efficiency.
- Easy assembly with auto-adjustments of the lateral clearance.
- Lifetime reliability.
- Construction materials: Cast iron and carbon steel.
- Package certified as ATEX Zone 2 Cat.3 Ex II 3G c IIC T200°C.
Application Energy Recovery Process
One remarkable application of the Hibon hydrogen blower is its integration into the recirculation system of an annealing furnace. This system involves a nitrogen-hydrogen mixture, with the hydrogen content varying from 80% to 100% depending on the desired sheet quality. The blower is used for hydrogen recirculation to recover otherwise lost energy.
During the furnace treatment, there may be small amounts of CO, CO2, and CH4 gasses present. The primary objective is to efficiently convey the hot mixture, reaching temperatures as high as 1100°C, to a heat exchanger. By effectively cooling the mixture to around 40°C, the blower facilitates its subsequent transfer to the dryer's inlet through filters and exchangers.
The Power of the Hibon Hydrogen Blower
When it comes to hydrogen blower solutions, Hibon stands out as an industry leader. Our state-of-the-art technology, coupled with our commitment to sustainability, ensures that you receive exceptional performance and unmatched reliability.
To address your specific process needs, Hibon offers two exceptional solution packages: B-SF and Bloc 1, designed to deliver outstanding performance in hydrogen applications.
B-SF Package
For smaller flow requirements ranging from 350Nm3/h to approximately 3000Nm3/h (SF1 to SF5), we recommend our B-SF package, which includes the NXS range blower. The blower sizes available are NX3S to NX43S. Customized based on our standard Silentflow range and equipped with a V belt drive device, the B-SF package features cast iron material for the blower and carbon steel for the package parts.
The standard sealing includes piston rings and a single self-lubricated mechanical seal at the shaft end, utilizing oil crankcases from the SNS series. The discharge pressure can reach up to 1350mbar Absolute. Additionally, we offer an ATEX ZONE 2 Gas version upon request.
Bloc 1 Package
If your process demands higher flow rates, ranging from 3000Nm3/h to 8000Nm3/h, we recommend our Bloc 1 package. It features blower sizes SNS855, SNS870, SNS8110, or SNS8170. Similar to the B-SF package, the Bloc 1 package comprises cast iron material for the blower and carbon steel for the package parts.
The standard sealing includes piston rings and a single self-lubricated mechanical seal at the shaft end, utilizing oil crankcases from the SNS series. The discharge pressure can reach up to 1350mbar Absolute. The design pressure does not exceed 1 bar G for the customer process, following Hibon's standard series. For different design pressures, alternative materials, or specific requirements, we kindly request the customer's data sheet and specifications for feasibility analysis.
Other Applications and Custom Requirements
- Recovery of hydrogen from electrolysis
- Hydrogen injection in gas circuits or for the production of chemicals.
- Hydrogen transfer
- Gas compression on a hydrogenation loop
- Reactivation of a catalyst
- Cooling of furnaces on a thermic treatment with hydrogen
Solutions and Features: Case Study Example
To show the capabilities of our solutions, consider the following case study featuring the SNS6 B1 AD blower with an enclosure. It incorporates direct coupling for a tailored package. The blower operates with an inlet pressure of 1050 mbar abs, outlet pressure of 1250 mbar abs, and a differential pressure of 200 mbar.
The volume flow is 200Nm3/h, and the blower speed ranges from 903 to 2443 RPM with speed variation. The blower shaft absorbed power is 7.7-8.94kW. It is certified as ATEX Zone 2 Cat.3 EX II 3G c IIC T=160°C.
