Hibon’s Pulp & Paper Solution

The Roots-Hibon blower lobe pump is also known as a positive displacement blower. It works by using two counter rotating lobed rotors to trap and transport air or gas through the pump chamber. The operation of the Roots-Hibon blower lobe pump can be broken down into four stages:

  1. Intake: As the rotors turn, a partial vacuum is created in the intake side of the pump. This draws in air or gas through the inlet port.

  2. Compression: As the rotors continue to rotate, the lobes trap the air or gas and carry it around the pump chamber. The volume of the chamber decreases as the lobes mesh, which compresses the air or gas.
